This is the first systematic work on Christian education from a Chinese house church, written by Pastor Wang Yi and Principal Su Bingsen between 2012 and 2015. The book develops its argument along four dimensions: a review of the realities of Chinese education and the history of church schools in China; a retrospective on the tradition of Christian education within the covenant; an exposition of the classical education philosophy of the Trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric); and an exploration of practicing reformed education in the contemporary Chinese context. The authors point out that since the "Reclaim Educational Rights" movement of 1927, truly Christian schools have ceased to exist in China, and they profoundly argue for the necessity of Christian education in church building and cultural renewal.
